Battlefield 3: Open Beta launched

The Battlefield 3 Open Beta has begun!

The Open Beta features the map "Operation Métro" in the Game mode "Rush".
Full version will contain 8 more expansive maps that adapt to any of the six game modes.

To join the party, download the Origin Client here (~50MB) and download the Beta from within the client.

On Playstation 3, the Beta will automatically appear on the Playstation Network Store.
Similar on Xbox360: It will appear automatically on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

The stats won't be carried over from the Beta to the final game.

  1. Oh god I can't wait! I hope it gets the deserved attention by gamers! CoD is not the best thing there is in the FPS world!

  3. I don't think I'll be getting this really, or maybe with my brother out the house for a few days I might give it a shot on the PS3. I'm just not all that excited.

  8. I wish I could be excited for this like everyone else, but all I see is yet another generic military shooter (that is slightly better that mw3)

  10. I've been playing for days on end and so far I have a few things I do NOT like about the game. I don't like how shiny I am in a dark hallway. I don't like that the Metro map is so narrow and linear. I don't like how the game is very run and gun.

I DO like the graphics. I DO love the sound of the game. I DO love the gameplay and the immersion. I DO love that it's Battlefield and not Crap of Duty.
