GoW3 Add-ons + Season Pass

Although Gears of War 3 is still weeks away from the final release, Epic has announced there will be several add-ons released. The first of them will be released this November.
Those add-ons are supposedly a must-have for any fan of the Gears series. They will be adding hours of campaign and multiplayer mayhem.
The Gears of War 3 Season Pass will be available on September 20th, the day of the GoW3 release, and will cost 2400 Microsoft points on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
The advantage of purchasing a Season Pass versus purchasing all add-ons individually will be a 33% saving, plus it will include a Liquid Metal Weapon Set.

Gears of War is undeniably one of the most celebrated sagas in video gaming. Statistics now confirm this: The third part of the series has surpassed a spectacular 1.3 Million pre-orders worldwide! That makes it the fastest pre-selling Xbox exclusive in the history of the platform.
Already 20 million matches have been played in the multiplayer beta this spring.

[UT3 Scene] The Neckbreaker

Today I present to you: The Neckbreaker
A nice way to kill targets is make them trip (e.g. shoting them from their board) and make them hit a corner with their head.
That's what I did here.

Ah and one more thing, don't ask me why the quality screwed up, it was fine when I rendered it.

Hawken

Adhesive Games has brought out a UDK-based Mech game called Hawken.
In case you don't know what UDK is, I will write an article about that later.

Hawken is basically a mech-themed FPS. Because it was created with UDK it's running on the Unreal Engine 3. The focus is on creating an intense and enjoyable battle experience that captures the feeling of piloting a heavy war machine while keeping the action fast-paced and strategic. The game offers two unique team game modes, as well as team deathmatch and free-for-all deathmatch.

Gears of War 3 has gone Gold

Epic Games Executive Producer Rod Fergusson announced today to the staff at Epic Games and the world that Gears of War 3 has gone gold. The arena at headquarters was filled with excited Epic staff members as Rod made the announcement. After the announcement was made, Rod had PR Manager Dana Cowley roll out the cake and he along with Design Director Cliff Bleszinski cut the cake with a Gold Retro Lancer. The cake was a gift from Microsoft. The consensus was the cake was delicious.

The UT3 campaign

Before the release of UT3, the developers advertised the great story. Let's have a look at this in detail:

The story

In times of war, in a far away galaxy, there lived a guy named Reaper. He was a former miner.

One day, the Krall and Necris (the "dark deads of space", working with the most powerful - Nanoblack - technology) invaded his colony, Twin Souls, destroying everything and everyone. To escape, he ordered one of his teammates, Othello, to take a fighter spaceship. That wouldn't help evacuate the colonists but at least get his sister to safety. A few moments later, he gets shot with a rocket launcher. Only with luck he survived; rescued by his sister. She arranged a deal with the Izanagi Corporation. They are now - in opposition to Unreal II, where they are the main antagonists - the Ronin's¹ employers because they were able to provide a hospital and a mercenary gig which gets them to their revenge on the Necris.

The Izanagi are into whatever makes them money and they send the team of four, consisting of Reaper, Sarah, better known as Jester (his sister), Othello and Bishop on a mission to "steal" Axon's gear. That includes the Axon Goliath, which is a hefty armored tank. From there on it's just the regular game modes like CTF, Warfare and Deathmatch against seemingly "random" enemies.

Such missions continue until you finally head to the Necris homeplanet, Omicron 6. Lusting for blood, your team manages to intimidate Akasha² when you defeat her forces at Necropolis, the Necris capital. You follow her until you reach her little safe-house. So far you got her locked down. She's trapped on Sentinel, no support, no hope of escape. This is where it ends.


SPOILER ALERT:

When you killed Akasha, you try to report in to your team, but no one replies. It turns out to be a trap by Phayder Corporation (the Necris "creators") and Malcolm, who used to command you in the name of the Izanagi. He ran their spec-ops. You were a disposable asset for him. 
Then you see a Necris warrior throwing Reaper's sister Jester down from a higher level of the building. Her last words were "Told you, it was a trap", laughs a bit, coughs blood and dies. Full of rage, Reaper vows Vendetta on Malcolm, since he was the only one who knew their plans. When he charges his Rocket Launcher for attacking the superiors of Necris forces, the picture cuts off leaving us with an open end.

Okay, okay, I admit, there's a lot to the story but only if you work it out for yourself. They don't display all the information as I did. You just play missions which are tactical strikes in the form of standard game modes against (if you don't bother working it out for yourself) seemingly random enemies.
That alone leaves me thinking that Unreal Tournament is a pure multiplayer game. At least it's way more fun online.

Passed!

So guys, I made it! I passed my driving test and needless to say I drove around all day today ;)
Before driving, I never really listened to the radio but today I did. Some interesting stuff in there sometimes, did you for example know that having outdoor sex in Romania can be punished with prison up to 7 years? And that in Italy - to prevent that - there are public places where you are legally allowed to have car sex?!

Btw, I'll finish the scene tomorrow, I'm too lazy today ;)

Crazy First Blood (200+ Followers!!!)

First of all: Thank you all for following and supporting me! It really motivates me to keep going!
200 is huge number, I didn't think I'd get this much attention in that timespan.
It's a good feeling knowing people like my videos and my blog!

I've been busy lately, that's why I barely played UT or wrote an article. Nevertheless, I've got a new clip for you today.
Vehicles sure are fun. Especially when you do a 270° turn, switch to the gunner and snipe someone on the other side with it. In under 5 seconds ;)
I have another clip for you which I'll probably finish tomorrow. I made the sickest air rockets!

Did you notice the little extra I put in? It's only visible for 2 frames ;)

Again, I don't have time to write a longer post. I have to go to bed soon, 'cause tomorrow is the big day of my practical driving test. Hopefully I'll pass it =)

 UT3: Anarchy Massacre

For those of you who don't know what the term "Massacre" in UT3 means, it's the highest in-match award you can get, as in 30 kills without death. That being done on a small map is almost impossible ;)

Head hunter means 15 headshots in one match.

Didn't score, yet I'm first. All I had to do was Raptor whoring a bit :D Look closely at the Dominating kill, too! :D

Had some cool scenes in it (lol the first kill). Didn't really put effort into the video though.

A Gameplay video (Skyscraper-Nightfire)

Sorry that I don't have time to write a longer article today, as I'm pretty busy I will only post a Gameplay video of the map "Skyscraper-Nightfire" that I made some weeks ago. I played under the nick "YouWishYouKn3w" as my friend used the name YouWishYouKnew and we wanted to look similar for some reason, lol.

Anyway, here it is. Enjoy!

Description:

Okay, so Rypelcam has this awesome bug, when you spectate someone in first person and said person dies, it wont automatically spectate him from spawn again. This is why I had to pause and search for my character some times and I left in the pauses for you to comprehend what just happened (and to prove I didn't cut the video and it was indeed all in one game, look at the clock, left upper corner).

To the game:

This is a gameplay video of the popular map Skyscraper-Nightfire. At first it looked like we would lose, until our team decided, it's time for a comeback! And so we kept scoring ;)
I myself think I did a pretty nice job in this match, had some cool scenes and elegant kills in it. Enjoy! :)

P.S.: The reason I said something unfriendly in the beginning to wagontv is because he is one of the most abusive and insulting persons this game knows. He thinks he's the best but he fails lamentably.

Personal Update

A personal update for today: I passed my theoretical driving test =)
Zero mistakes. Like a boss!
That means the song of the day is a happy one :)
Although you can skip approximately 3 - 4 minutes if you don't want to listen to the song in its entirety ;)
