Those add-ons are supposedly a must-have for any fan of the Gears series. They will be adding hours of campaign and multiplayer mayhem.
The Gears of War 3 Season Pass will be available on September 20th, the day of the GoW3 release, and will cost 2400 Microsoft points on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
The advantage of purchasing a Season Pass versus purchasing all add-ons individually will be a 33% saving, plus it will include a Liquid Metal Weapon Set.
Gears of War is undeniably one of the most celebrated sagas in video gaming. Statistics now confirm this: The third part of the series has surpassed a spectacular 1.3 Million pre-orders worldwide! That makes it the fastest pre-selling Xbox exclusive in the history of the platform.
Already 20 million matches have been played in the multiplayer beta this spring.
nice, hope they release it for ps3
ReplyDeleteNice. If I had it, I'd get it!
ReplyDeletelooking forward to playing this game.
ReplyDeleteI worry if GoW 3 can live up to Part 1 or 2.
ReplyDeleteBut it vertainly isn't rushed, what indicates a thorough development.
I want to play this game so hard xD
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker of sequels and prequels of a series I played bf, as long as they don't become too horrible...have to wait and see
ReplyDeleteI was actually looking forward to this game, but then selfless pandering and releasing addons to the campaign about a month or two after it's release has put me off now if I'm honest. If it's that vital to a fan then include it in the full game. I can understand wanting to add more things to it but don't do it so soon. Then again they could have just run out of disk space I guess, which would make it an alright thing to do.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap, 1.3M in preorders? Can't argue with such success.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get my hands on this game. I loved the first two!
ReplyDeleteAnd yet I've never played it!
ReplyDeleteIt's never, ever gonna happen NameBrands
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely excited for this.
ReplyDeletestill havent played 1 or 2
ReplyDeleteWell, can't say that they weren't succesful with the games, they got 1.3 Million pre-orders! :)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I have no ps.
ReplyDeleteSeason Pass! Ride the new Gears of War all year!
ReplyDeleteTo me the most interesting thing here is that they're thinking about what stuff to add after they release the game way before the game is actually released...
ReplyDeleteDamn gonna have to buy one and two just so i dont feel to far behind
ReplyDeletei don't play this, but looks great
ReplyDeleteThat's a ton of preorders!
ReplyDeleteI preferred Gears to the Halo games, the enemy in Halo were annoying more than threatening.
ReplyDeleteSeems this will be big! Kinda looking forward to seeing reviews when it comes out! But I guess 1.3 million people can't be wrong right?! lol
ReplyDeleteReally gotta try this one!
ReplyDelete1.3 Million pre-orders??? That's a lot.
ReplyDeleteI may check this out when I visit my extended family next. They're all GoW heads, and surely will have the liquid weapon sets.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed playing GoW2... i'm anxious about getting my hands on GoW3, really. i'm one of those who pre-ordered the game!
ReplyDeleteDLC upsets me if it's buy to play
ReplyDeleteIt does look quite good though, maybe it'll be worth buying
The season pass is a pretty great idea actually, I wish COD would do the same thing. Downloading all the DLC costs just as much as the game!
ReplyDeleteI hate how they thought a PC version is not necessary for GoW 2 and 3. :(
